Read the Word Ministry
Psalm 1:1-3. "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the
counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on
his law he medititates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." (NIV)
Rejuvinate in the Word

    The mission of this ministry is to assist       congregations in reading the Word! It currently
does this through three vehicles. The first is a deck
of 52 Bible memory verses that go through weekly
the whole Bible. They are conveniently in the size of playing cards. On one side, there is an appealing picture of a king leading his subjects. The other side provides the memory verse. Also, rather than being spades,hearts, clubs and diamonds, they have the Bible themes of Breastplates, Shields, Helmets and Swords. Besides for meditation and memorization, they can be used as a family or Sunday School card game.
The second is  a book
called A Path Through The Bible (second edition). This guide leads one through the Bible in one year through a process of journaling, devotional sharings,
topic summaries, and Israel photos.
The following are a couple devotion samples from the 51 provided in this book.

"Free Will and God's Response"
The thought I would like to describe today comes from my reading in Genesis 11. We are told that all people at this time had one language. There was an attempt to build a city with a tower that was so high it reached into the heavens so that the builders could make a name for themselves while staying united. This is called the Tower of Babel. However, God was concerned about this goal that the people would become too powerful, and he confused their language and scattered these people. To me, this is an example of how God interacts with us. He gives us free will, but will step in when it becomes necessary so that things go accoriding to his ultimate will. I think another example is the use of angels to be messangers of God at important  times in history such as angels speaking to Mary and Joseph.

"God's Guidance"
I found inspirational Exodus 13:17-18, "When Pharoah let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, 'If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.' So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt armed for battle." It occurred to me that this was an example of how intimately God understood the strengths and weaknesses of the Jewish people and led them in accordance with that understanding. I think he understands us in the same way and this provide us consolation that he is leading us toward our good.
The third vehicle is a group of cards to summarize the "Romans Road" plan of salvation. Through seven steps  vividly displayed on cards having a background of "The Appian Way" road to Rome, they are a useful aid for sharing the gospel.

The following tells you more about Dave and how he decided to start this website.
Dave has been a member of Calvary Chapel Life, Midway City, California, under the leadership if Pastor Paul Aguilar, for the last eighteen years. While there, he has been an active lay leader in the Men's Ministry, Children's Ministry and Usher Ministry. As a result, he has been deeply involved in the church congregational life.
In the process, he has felt a key need for congregations to be supported in learning  the Word. As a result he developing special resources, with the assistance of Paul Aguilar and Dave's wife Helen. These aids are shown and described on this site. More resources are currently in the planning stage.
Some important ways these products are meant to be of support to congregations are as follows:
* Assist Bible Study groups
* Enhanced understanding of sermons
* Greater dialog by members regarding the Bible
